DESCRIPTION:This February\, enjoy Affirmation of Life: Art from Today’s Ukraine\, presented at the Loading Dock Gallery in cooperation with the Ukraine Cultural Initiative. This colorful show celebrates life as well as Ukrainian heritage\, with work ranging from traditional designs to lush abstracts. Working in war-ravaged Ukraine\, the artists seek not only to make a living\, but to teach and support adults and children\, providing much needed healing through the universal language of art. “Art is like oxygen\,” says artist Lyubov Mineko. “It makes everyone feel comfortable. Comfortable in the individual existence and comfortable in communication with others. SUMMARY:Concord History with a Chocolate Twist
DESCRIPTION:The tour will touch on the town’s revolutionary and literary history while visiting sites such as The Milldam\, Monument Square\, The Old Hill Burial Ground and more. \nParticipants will enjoy a taste of locally roasted nuts combined with handcrafted chocolate at Gräem Nuts and Chocolate and get a taste of their Signature Handmade Bark. Other stops include Priscilla’s Candy Shop\, a fourth generation family owned candy shop\, hand making fine chocolates\, truffles\, fudges and caramels since 1936\, and the Concord Cheese Shop for a taste of locally made Chocolate Chevre Cheese. The tour will end at Nosh. \nReservations are required for this tour and must be booked 24 hours in advance.
