Driven by youthful fire\, they believed in the promise of liberty more than they feared the cost of pursuing it.\nHistoric Beverly proudly presents The American Revolution: A story of the War in 28 Paintings\, a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition of artworks commissioned to illustrate Senator Henry Cabot Lodge Sr.’s landmark book.\nThese paintings are featured in Ken Burns’ upcoming documentary The American Revolution. The exhibit will be on display at the Cabot House from September 6\, 2025 to July 4\, 2026. Tickets are free and open to the public.

SUMMARY:“Dreadful were the Vestages of war:” Three Human Stories of April 19\, 1775
DESCRIPTION:Joel Bohy\, military historian and Antiques Roadshow presenter\, will give a lecture on Lexington’s Revolutionary War veterans at the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library on November 20\, 2025\, followed by a signing of his 2025 book\, Bullet Strikes From the First Day of the American Revolution. \nThe lecture will take a closer look at three individuals involved in the beginning of the war: John Robbins of Lexington who was badly wounded on April 19\, James Hayward of Acton who was mortally wounded at Fiske Hill in Lexington\, and a British soldier who was wounded in Lexington on April 19 and went on to join the Lexington militia and the Continental Army. \nThis lecture is co-sponsored by Lexington History Museums and the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library\, as part of America250 celebrations and SRMML’s 50th anniversary programming It will take place in person at the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library and will be live streamed by local community access partner LexMedia. Having shared stages with Lizzy McAlpine\, Madi Diaz\, Field Medic\, Searows\, Annika Bennett\, and others\, her songs carry what folk music has always carried: emotion\, memory\, simple truth. \nAn indie/alternative artist blending folk\, gospel\, and soul-infused rock\, Carter Benjamin’s music is rooted in storytelling\, exploring themes of identity\, resilience\, and belonging.
