DESCRIPTION:Join us in celebrating our eighth anniversary at National Alpaca Farm Days. In addition to hosting tours of the farm all day on Saturday and Sunday\, we are very excited to once again welcome The Fat Rooster food truck to the farm. We will have live music and a mini farmers market on Saturday and fiber art demonstrations on both days. We will be welcoming Lost Shoe Brewery on Sunday for a beer garden at the Ranch. We will also have kids activities\, special sales\, and giveaways all weekend. Come out and help us celebrate our wonderful herd of 34 alpacas!! DESCRIPTION:Late Summer/early Fall is the time when many trees and plants release their seeds to grow a new generation. These seeds have some ingenious ways of getting where they need to go. Some tempt animals to eat them\, which gives them a free ride and provides fertilizer at the same time! Some parachute from trees\, float on the air or water\, or shoot out from seed pods like missiles. Join us to see what kinds of seeds we can find in Discovery Woods and on the Great Hill Conservation Land! Please note that the conservation land trails are not ADA or stroller accessible; please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. For more information on Great Hill\, please visit trails.actonma.gov. DESCRIPTION:Lowell-based non-profit Mill City Grows (MCG) will host its Annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday\, May 18\, from 10am to 2pm\, at UMass Lowell’s Rist Urban Agriculture Greenhouse & Farm at 69 Pawtucket Street! Free parking is available on site at UMass Lowell’s East Campus Garage. An abundant variety of Lowell-grown herbs\, vegetables\, flowers\, and fruit plants will be available for purchase at this free\, public event. Attendees will also enjoy a Farmers Market showcasing local guest vendors Craic Sauce\, F-Word Farm\, The Merrimack Company\, and Fat Moon Mushrooms\, plus the Mill City Grows Mobile Market will be selling fresh\, seasonal produce. All attendees are invited to enter MCG’s free door prize giveaway at their information table! (One entry per person.) Cash\, debit\, and credit will be accepted at the plant sale\, and SNAP/EBT/HIP will be accepted for fruit and vegetable plants.
