With their latest release\, Go Climb a Tree\, their music has never sounded more representative of themselves as musicians and as live performers.\nThe band attributes their continued success to their fanatic audience\, and it’s a well-diversified crowd for sure. The country-music folks adore the storytelling\, the bluegrass-heads love the instrumentals\, Celtic fans love their devotion to tradition\, and the rockers simply relish the passion they play their instruments with. Each band member\, in their own way\, expresses a deep gratitude for their fans\, but it’s best summed up in the words of Patrick Murphy: “The fans are the ones that have given us this life. We’re here for them.” \nOn Go Climb a Tree\, co-founders of Gaelic Storm\, Steve Twigger and Patrick Murphy\, along with longtime friend and co-writer Steve Wehmever\, are again at the helm of song-writing duties. The album has everything—party drinking songs  (“The Beer Song”)\, patriotic anthems (“Green\, White and Orange”)\, beautiful folk songs (“Monday Morning Girl”)\, spritely instrumentals “”The Night of Tomfoolery”)\, perfectly poppy songs (“Shine On”)\, and even a raucous pirate song (“Shanghai Kelly”). When speaking of the overall concept of the album\, Patrick Murphy gives some insight: “With all the craziness and division in the world\, we wanted to make an album about ‘contemplative escapism.’ Go Climb a Tree certainly isn’t about dropping out of the conversation\, it’s just about taking a short hiatus to recharge the batteries before you take on the world again.” \nIn light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic\, Gaelic Storm\, originally scheduled for Saturday\, June 20\, 2020 at 7:30pm\, has been rescheduled for the 2022 Season\, and will now take place on Friday\, June 24\, 2022 at 7:30pm at Boarding House Park. All tickets for the original show date will be honored for the new performance date. If you bought a ticket online\, you will be emailed your ticket 4 days prior to the rescheduled concert. No action is required. If you have a physical ticket\, that ticket will be honored at the new concert date.  If you are unable to attend the new show date\, please consider donating the value of your ticket purchase. As a non-profit music series\, your donation to Lowell Summer Music Series is a tax-deductible. By making a donation\, you are helping us to provide our community with quality entertainment in the months and years to come.  For ticket holders unable to end the rescheduled date\, full refunds are also available. Given the volume of refunds and delayed credit card processing times\, it may take several weeks for the refund to post to your credit card statement. Refunds for rescheduled shows will be available until June 30\, 2021.  \nPremium Seats are available in the first several rows for each show. Go to the seat map on the ticketing page for each show to see the actual layout. We have reduced each row from 16 seats to 12 seats so we can provide increased space between patrons. DESCRIPTION:A career spanning twenty-five years has brought this Canadian guitarist multiple accolades including a coveted Acoustic Guitar Magazine ‘Player’s Choice Silver Award’\, eleven Juno Award nominations (he won for 2001’s ‘Free Fall’)\, a Gemini Award and\, most impressively\, ten platinum and gold studio albums.\nMoreover\, he has sold out concert halls the world over\, produced five PBS television specials and five live CD’s. Not a bad legacy for a guy who never planned to release an album. Since launching his career with 1995’s Tempest\, Cook has blazed an incredible trail. Along with being a global-guitar virtuoso\, he’s honed his skills as a composer\, producer\, arranger\, performer and\, more recently\, filmmaker and cultural ambassador.
