DESCRIPTION:Pay just $2.50 admission per person\, the admission price when Discovery Museum opened in 1982! Thank you for more than four decades of support from our community! \nExisting programs that offer deeper discounts—including $1 admission for EBT\, WIC\, and ConnectorCare Card to Culture card holders\, and free admission for active-duty military families\, teachers\, and children under 1—will continue to be honored. Library passes and other coupons cannot be applied. \nVisitors who pay the discounted admission price and would like to purchase a membership can apply what would have been the full cost of their admission toward the price of a membership within two weeks of their visit. Standard admission prices are $17.00 for adults and children ages 1 and up; $16.00 for seniors 60+.

DESCRIPTION:Do you have a passion for boats? Do you love meeting people from around the world? Have you ever wondered what you might need to qualify to be a Boat Captain at Lowell National Historical Park? Now is your chance to get all your questions answered and learn what it takes to captain a National Park Service vessel! \nOur boat captains convey tour rangers and visitors on our canal and river boats for a wide variety of educational programs May through October. \nJoin us on Saturday\, October 5th at 10 a.m. to meet one of our captains and learn more about the duties\, certifications needed\, and the federal hiring process. Applications for the WG-5786 Small Craft Operators will be posted at a later date. \nInterested captains can meet at the Visitor Center (246 Market St.) and will walk with park staff down to the Boat Dock at Swamp locks. \nFree parking is available at the Hamilton Canal Innovation District parking garage at 350A Dutton St.\, Lowell. Parking in this garage (only) is available to National Park visitors at no cost provided they obtain a valid parking voucher at the LNHP Visitor Center (246 Market Street).
