DESCRIPTION:Your local support means the world to us\, and we want to say thank you with an opportunity to win big this month.\nMunch Madness is a City-sponsored initiative in partnership with the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce to support\, encourage\, and reward Lowell-based businesses and their patrons. \nFrom March 1-31\, 2024\, patrons who dine at participating restaurants and businesses and spend at least $25 can earn an entry toward giveaways of sports-\, arts-\, and culturally-themed events based in Lowell\, and a Grand Prize drawing to see who gets to Dine Around Lowell for a Year. \nHow it works\n\nSpend $25 or more at a participating business between March 1-31\, 2024\, Submit your qualifying receipt and contact information – simply take a picture\, upload\, and submit!\nWinners will be selected in a random drawing in April 2024.\nMake sure to check out our full list of participating businesses and don’t forget to get those entries in! SUMMARY:Lowell Artist Showcase: Debbie Roy
DESCRIPTION:Introducing the Lowell Artist Showcase! Once a month the library hosts a local artist to come in\, talk about & showcase their art\, and give small\, simple demonstration or project that attendees can participate in. Materials will be provided by the library. \nThis month we will be hosting Debbie Roy and her craft-foam creations. She plans to share some of her completed projects followed by a hands-on workshop demonstrating how to make simple roses using craft-foam\, scissors\, and a glue gun. \nAbout the Artist:\nHaving spent most of her life immersed in creative endeavors (of very little career\, monetary\, or historical significance)\, Debbie Roy has decided to continue this trend. She fills her days with obsessive and varied crafting\, singing\, sewing\, and building costumes for her scooter as well as writing stories\, poems\, plays\, and frivolous Facebook updates. She has seldom met a craft she didn’t like. After discovering the versatility of craft-foam sheets\, she’s used them to make everything from costumes and props to seasonal decorations. Getting older is mandatory\, growing up is optional. \nPlease register for this event on the library website. Capacity: 15 people.
