Also Copland and Sousa! Every year we salute our armed services with patriotic music led by The Star-Spangled Banner. The LPO pays tribute to Lowell born composer George Whitefield Chadwick and perform “Euterpe”.\nThe LPO will be joined by the talented student dancers from the Hellenic American Academy\, performing traditional Greek dances specially arranged for orchestra for this concert.\nA great beginning to a great summer of music in Lowell! This dynamic and captivating place was originally founded by the Lowell Historic Preservation Commission\, U.S. Department of the Interior. The Brush presents museum quality exhibitions\, educational programs\, and has collaborated with many other nonprofit groups. Artists occupy studio spaces to interact with and educate the public on a weekly basis. Currently\, eleven studio artists produce paintings\, illustration\, photography\, jewelry\, sculpture\, ceramics\, quilts\, and handwoven items. Associate artists display work in the common area. The Brush Art Gallery and Studios is a nonprofit\, 501(c)(3) organization. The Brush is supported by the Lowell National Historical Park.

Using the buildings on Middle Street and on Shattuck Street\, the teacher will start with a simple demonstration\, then the students will draw. DESCRIPTION:Beginning Thursday\, September 7\, various New England-based breweries will be on location serving their\nspecialty beverages along with a variety of non-alcohol options from 4:30pm-8:30pm. \nBurlington’s Town Center independent restaurants will also be on-site offering signature food dishes every\nThursday\, including Hala Eats!\, Pizza Works\, Rosa Mexicano\, True North Coffee\, Al Maidah\, Sausage Guy\,\nViet Citron & School House Ice Cream. \nPeople are encouraged to purchase food\, snacks from the businesses along the Cambridge Street corridor\,\nand enjoy them at Community Corner pocket park. The breweries will rotate each Thursday: \n9/7 Zero Gravity\n9/14 Lord Hobo\n9/21 Lawson’s Finest Liquid\n9/28 Mighty Squirrel \nAn estimated 1\,200 people participated in last year’s family and dog-friendly events which featured a\ndifferent Massachusetts brewery each week. \nTown Center Beer Garden & Local Business Thursdays is part of Burlington’s “placemaking” effort which\nis a people-centered approach to the planning\, design\, and use of public spaces. Through a collaborative\nprocess\, do-able improvements are identified and implemented that bring immediate benefits to the people\nwho use these spaces. \nCommunity Corner pocket park is an installation that converted vehicle parking spaces at 184 Cambridge\nStreet into a playful public space with green turf. In 2022\, Mary Leach’s “Community Corner” entry was chosen as the winning name in the Name the Park contest.
