The breweries will rotate each Thursday: \n9/7 Zero Gravity\n9/14 Lord Hobo\n9/21 Lawson’s Finest Liquid\n9/28 Mighty Squirrel \nAn estimated 1\,200 people participated in last year’s family and dog-friendly events which featured a\ndifferent Massachusetts brewery each week. \nTown Center Beer Garden & Local Business Thursdays is part of Burlington’s “placemaking” effort which\nis a people-centered approach to the planning\, design\, and use of public spaces. In 2022\, Mary Leach’s “Community Corner” entry was chosen as the winning name in the Name the Park contest. DESCRIPTION:SoulMapping is a practice based on SoulCollage\, an art form that combines collage and personal imagery. It doesn’t require any special art experience\, just a desire to create beautiful and meaningful images that will serve as guides on life’s journey. There will be a sharing of the images included at the end of the session. \nSuggested Audience \nAdults 18 and up \nSupplies/ Equipment Required \nNone; all will be provided by Lowell National Historical Park \nAbout the Artist \nJean Winslow is an artist who is also an art therapist and clinician in private practice with over 40 years working with individuals and groups. She has been offering SoulMapping groups in her studio for the past nine years and has her own SoulMapping and journaling practice that she recommends to all those who attend SoulCollage/SoulMapping workshops. \nAbout Art in the Park \nJoin LNHP and diverse local artists for our Art in the Park series of plein air (outdoors) art workshops. Under the guidance and teaching of local artists\, we will use Lowell as a backdrop for inspiration and expression. Join in to grow your creative skill in different mediums\, from drawing and watercolor to portrait work and acrylic painting. Lowell is a City of Artists – Each artist will bring their own expertise to share with you and help facilitate your own process of creating. \nPlease note the age guidance for each workshop -some workshops are more well-suited to younger artists and family groups than others. The program is free\, but space is limited\, and reservations are required. Please call 978-970-5000 to reserve a spot. \nMost programs will be outdoors\, with either rain locations or rain dates. Some programs may require participants to bring their own supplies\, although LNHP strives to provide supplies when possible. Participants are encouraged to bring their own preferred art supplies if appropriate. \nAbout The Brush Art Gallery & Studios \nThe Brush Art Gallery & Studios (https://www.thebrush.org/) is located in the Lowell National Historical Park across the courtyard from the Visitor Center. This dynamic and captivating place was originally founded by the Lowell Historic Preservation Commission\, U.S. Department of the Interior. The Brush presents museum quality exhibitions\, educational programs\, and has collaborated with many other nonprofit groups. Artists occupy studio spaces to interact with and educate the public on a weekly basis. Currently\, eleven studio artists produce paintings\, illustration\, photography\, jewelry\, sculpture\, ceramics\, quilts\, and handwoven items. Associate artists display work in the common area. The Brush Art Gallery and Studios is a nonprofit\, 501(c)(3) organization. The Brush is supported by the Lowell National Historical Park.

DESCRIPTION:Today’s Program\nIn this class\, students will learn how to get inspired by the beautiful Lowell architecture. Concepts such as vanishing point and horizon line. Using the buildings on Middle Street and on Shattuck Street\, the teacher will start with a simple demonstration\, then the students will draw. Some of the students may have time to do a few drawings\, and others will only do one drawing during the allotted time. \nMaterials used:\nsketchbook\, pencils\, eraser. DESCRIPTION:About Art in the Park \nJoin LNHP and diverse local artists for our Art in the Park series of plein air (outdoors) art workshops. Under the guidance and teaching of local artists\, we will use Lowell as a backdrop for inspiration and expression. Join in to grow your creative skill in different mediums\, from drawing and watercolor to portrait work and acrylic painting. Lowell is a City of Artists – Each artist will bring their own expertise to share with you and help facilitate your own process of creating. \nPlease note the age guidance for each workshop -some workshops are more well-suited to younger artists and family groups than others. The program is free\, but space is limited\, and reservations are required. Please call 978-970-5000 to reserve a spot. \nLearn to turn dyed wool into pictures and sculptures using a barbed needle known as a felting needle. \nMaterials used: \nSheep’s wool\, felting needles\, foam pads\, pipe cleaners\, woven fabric (as base)- if you have any felting supplies and wish to bring it\, that would be great! \nSuggested Audience \nAges 6+ Felting needles are very sharp so hand-eye coordination is important\, children should be accompanied by an adult for supervision at all times. \nAbout the Artist \nJessica lives with her family in New England. There she makes art\, writes\, plays in her studio\, teaches\, walks in Nature and plots ways to re-wild her yard while feeding the birds.
