SUMMARY:The American Revolution: A story of the War in 28 Paintings
DESCRIPTION:1776 was more than a turning point; it marked the birth of a new world order. A bold line was drawn as ordinary people made extraordinary decisions\, declaring independence from the most powerful empire on earth. Driven by youthful fire\, they believed in the promise of liberty more than they feared the cost of pursuing it.\nHistoric Beverly proudly presents The American Revolution: A story of the War in 28 Paintings\, a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition of artworks commissioned to illustrate Senator Henry Cabot Lodge Sr.’s landmark book.\nThese paintings are featured in Ken Burns’ upcoming documentary The American Revolution. The exhibit will be on display at the Cabot House from September 6\, 2025 to July 4\, 2026. Tickets are free and open to the public.

SUMMARY:Rubbish to Runway Sustainable Fashion Show
DESCRIPTION:The Rubbish to Runway Sustainable Fashion Event will take place over two nights\, June 26th and 27th\, 2026\, at Veasey Memorial Park in Groveland. \nThis inspiring annual event is an intergenerational fashion show featuring garments upcycled or made by local designers from materials that would otherwise be recycled or thrown away. The event is an inclusive\, body-positive event that promotes community participation\, re-use\, resourcefulness\, and sustainable practices while supporting a vital\, self-funding conservation property. \nOur R2R 2026 theme is “World\, Reimagined”. This theme embraces rediscovery\, interconnectedness\, and modern interpretations of traditional dress. \nRubbish to Runway\, founded in 2010\, is a celebration of innovation\, arts\, sustainability\, and imagination. The amazing garments created for the event show how creativity and resourcefulness can make an impact. Each year\, we reach out to various community groups\, schools\, and non-profit art centers to participate. Recent participants range in age from 5 to 80! \nAll proceeds from the event benefit Friends of Veasey park\, a non-profit in Groveland. The funds raised from Rubbish to Runway 2026 will play a pivotal role in enhancing arts and environmental conservation education and ensuring the sustainability of Veasey Memorial Park.

SUMMARY:Who Are You - A Who Tribute
DESCRIPTION:WHO ARE YOU – A Tribute to THE WHO featuring Carl Dixon-former singer for The Guess Who (touring version).\n“If you want a truly incredible live WHO experience like no other\, go see these guys! WHO ARE YOU recreate the sound on stage that will make any WHO maniac smile. If your a true WHO fan like me for over forty years\, you will not be disappointed…Pure genius\, high energy\, and a fantastic sprinkle of WHO ARE YOU putting their own little touch on the greatest music ever made..”// Rob A.-Oswego\, NY\n“It was a fantastic musical experience with a balance of faithful reproduction of the Who and your personal signature/interpretation..” // Tom R.-Marlborough\, MA\nThe music of The Who defined a generation\, and more\, has successfully managed to withstand the test of time. When it comes to pop music\, success is measured by longevity\, and songs like “My Generation\,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again” or “Behind Blue Eyes” are just as relevant now as they were when Pete Townshend penned them decades ago. \nNo one wrote quite like him\, as no voice compares to Roger Daltrey’s and no rhythm section quite measures up to the bar set by John Entwistle and Keith Moon. However\, Massachusetts-based tribute band\, Who Are You\, have dedicated themselves to providing the most authentic Who experience they can.

SUMMARY:Best Friends Girl - The Cars Experience
DESCRIPTION:Best Friends Girl – the #1 CARS experience \nBest Friends Girl recreate the timeless hits of The Cars spanning a 35-year career\, with over 23 million albums sold and having more than 22 songs on the Billboard top 100. The Cars undoubtedly left their mark in popular culture with notable hits like “Best Friends Girl\,” “Shake It Up\,” “Magic\,” “Lets Go” and of course\, “Moving in Stereo” which gained notoriety from its placement in the movie “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” Best Friends Girl are comprised of lifelong\, top-notch\, professional musicians whose goal is to keep the music of The Cars alive with every performance! \nThe Cars’ journey began with Ric Ocasek and Benjamin Orr collaborating on several projects in the early 70’s. Ric and Benjamin eventually completed the lineup with Greg Hawkes\, Elliot Easton\, and David Robinson in Boston in 1976. In the confusion left behind from the death of disco and the angst of punk\, they forged a new direction bringing together the synthesizer sound with classic rock and roll roots. It created a unique sound for the time and icon John Lennon became a fan stating\, “I think The Cars’ ‘Touch and Go’ is right out of the fifties ‘Oh\, oh…‘ A lot of it is fifties stuff. But with eighties styling.”
