SUMMARY:Greater Lowell PRIDE 2026
DESCRIPTION:Greater Lowell is home to a diverse\, resilient\, and vibrant LGBTQIA+ community\, and PRIDE 2026 is an opportunity for our community to come together in celebration\, visibility\, and solidarity. This annual event not only fosters connection and ally ship\, but also links community members with vital resources supporting physical and mental health\, youth engagement\, and economic opportunities for local businesses and artists. \nGreater Lowell PRIDE has experienced consistent growth year over year\, now welcoming an increasingly regional audience\, with roughly half of attendees traveling from outside Lowell and across eastern New England. This growth reflects both the strength of our local LGBTQIA+ community and the event’s growing reputation as an inclusive\, welcoming celebration for the broader region. \nJoin us in celebrating PRIDE! Once again\, Greater Lowell PRIDE 2026 will feature a full day of events\, including a Flag Raising and the Greater Lowell PRIDE Festival. The celebration will include live entertainment\, community and vendor tables\, and a dedicated youth area—creating a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all ages and identities. \nGreater Lowell PRIDE continues to expand its reach\, increasing visibility and support for the LGBTQIA+ community in our city and throughout the region. That visibility has never felt more important than it does today. As the event grows\, we are pleased to offer enhanced sponsorship opportunities that allow businesses and organizations to visibly demonstrate their commitment to equity\, inclusion\, and community well-being. Sponsorship benefits include recognition on event signage\, digital and print promotions\, website and social media features\, live acknowledgments during the festival\, and more. Sponsorships and donations may also be made anonymously\, should that be helpful.

SUMMARY:Exhibit Opening: Through Tavern Door: The Munroe Women of Lexington
DESCRIPTION:On April 19\, 1775\, war exploded outside the home of Anna Munroe. Her husband was away fighting\, and British soldiers were advancing toward the town. But life didn’t stop; cows needed to be milked\, food had to be prepared\, and children had to be cared for. Rather than giving up\, Anna baked bread\, kneading tears into her dough\, before hiding family valuables and fleeing with her children. Decades later\, her story\, and the recollections of her children\, were preserved by generations of Munroe women who wrote down family legends and donated heirlooms to the Lexington Historical Society\, eventually furnishing the museum we know and love today. \nLearn more about the Revolutionary Munroe women and their courage in a new exhibit\, Through the Tavern Door: The Munroe Women of Lexington\, including treasured mementos rarely on display. This exhibit opens with a special afternoon reception from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday\, June 10\, at Munroe Tavern. No registration is required\, and light refreshments will be served.

SUMMARY:WE LIVE IN A RAINBOW| June 3 - 25\, 2026| Reception on June 6\, 3 - 5 pm| Loading Dock Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Show: We Live in a Rainbow: A Celebration of Pride Month\nExhibition Dates: June 3 – June 25\, 2026\nReception: June 6\, 3 – 5 PM\nA rainbow is more than a spectrum—it is a symbol of visibility\, resilience\, and belonging. It holds stories of identity\, community\, and the ongoing pursuit of equity and joy.\nLoading Dock Gallery presents We Live in a Rainbow: A Celebration of Pride Month\, an exhibition honoring LGBTQ+ voices\, perspectives\, and creative expression. Featuring work by Loading Dock Gallery members\, WAS members\, and invited guests\, the show brings together a wide range of artistic approaches unified by the power of color\, identity\, and lived experience.\nAcross painting\, mixed media\, and sculpture\, artists explore themes of self-expression\, transformation\, love\, and visibility. Some works engage directly with Pride’s history and symbolism\, while others reflect more personal or abstract interpretations of what it means to live fully and authentically. Together\, they form a vibrant and layered exhibition—one that celebrates both individuality and collective strength.\nWe Live in a Rainbow invites viewers to experience color not only as a visual language\, but as a cultural and emotional one—rooted in community\, courage\, and connection.\nJoin us for a show alive with color\, meaning\, and pride.\nWe Live in a Rainbow will be open Wednesdays-Fridays 12–5:30 PM and weekends 10 AM–3:30 PM\, June 3 through June 25. Join us for the opening reception on June 6 from 3–5 PM.\nLoading Dock Gallery is part of Loading Dock Arts\, Inc.\, a 501(c)(3). For more information\, visit www.theloadingdockgallery.com.
