DESCRIPTION:The Bedford Cultural District’s New Song Music Series is pleased to present the award-winning Pan-Latin ensemble Sol y Canto on Sept. 27 at 7:30 pm. \nThe group is led by Puerto Rican/Argentine vocalist and percussionist Rosi Amador and New Mexican guitarist and composer Brian Amador. With Rosi’s crystalline vocals\, Brian’s lush Spanish guitar\, and the soulful harmonies of cellist/singer Queralt Giralt\, the trio creates music that’s both heartfelt and exhilarating. Their original songs and fresh takes on Latin classics invite audiences—Spanish- and non-Spanish-speaking alike—to laugh\, cry\, dance\, and reflect. Known for vibrant three-part harmonies\, rhythmic drive\, and vocal improvisation\, Sol y Canto sounds like a much larger ensemble. Since 1994\, they’ve captivated audiences from the Kennedy Center to Boston’s Symphony Hall. The Boston Globe calls them “sublime ambassadors of the Pan-Latin tradition.” \nThe concert will be held in Bedford Town Hall’s Reed Room. We are committed to making this event accessible to all regardless of ability to pay (contact us at info@lowelllandtrust.org).\nSchedule\n•	Bib pick-up 9 – 10:15 a.m.\n•	Kids 1-mile Fun Run/Walk (ages 12 and under) will start at 9:30 a.m. (please arrive by 9:15 a.m.)\n•	5K Run/Walk or 10K Run (no walk for 10K) will start at 10:30 a.m. (please arrive by 10:15 a.m.) \nCourse Description \nThe course is a mix of double- and single-track trails through Shedd Park and Rogers Fort Hill Park as well as a segment along the scenic paved Concord River Greenway. The course includes minimal sidewalks and roads connecting the trails and will be marked with flags and signs and staffed at road crossings and major turns. 10K runners will complete the loop twice. There will be one water stop (10K will pass by twice). We encourage runners to bring their own bottles to reduce the amount of waste. Water and light snacks will be available at the finish line. The Kids 1-mile Fun Run/Walk will be a marked loop with adults at each turn to ensure no one gets off course. There will be finishing prizes for all participants. Please note the Kids Fun Run/Walk will not be timed. \nGetting There and Parking \nThe start & finish line will be at Shedd Park Pavilion\, 453 Rogers Street\, Lowell. There is a parking lot here. Additional parking can be found along Knapp Avenue and at two additional parking lots accessed from Park Avenue East (one & two). \nThe EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE. Sorry\, but there will be NO REFUNDS OR DAY-OF REGISTRATION.

DESCRIPTION:Join curatorial fellow Ricardo Mercado to explore highlights from the Addison’s permanent collection in two sections: the “ideal” and the “real.” The “ideal\,” bringing together American Impressionist paintings with Pictorialist photography\, and the “real\,” featuring works by the Ashcan School and social realist photographs. Together\, these works reveal how American artists of the era grappled with questions of beauty\, truth\, and the rapidly transforming character of modern life. This is the second exhibition in a series exploring particular strengths of the Addison’s renowned collection of art of the United States from the 17th century to the present day. This program is presented in partnership with Andover’s Memorial Hall Library.
