SUMMARY:Book Chat on Friends Divided with author Gordon S. Wood
DESCRIPTION:One of the most iconic duos in Revolutionary history\, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson famously worked together through the Continental Congress before feuding for decades. Later\, they miraculously rekindled a fierce friendship before dying on the same day\, 50 years to the day of the Declaration of Independence’s signing. Their relationship allows us a unique look at how the American Revolution affected those of different social classes and ideologies\, and how such disparate ideas were able to exist side by side in the new Republic. \nIn our last Book Chat of this season\, join award-winning Revolutionary War historian Gordon S. Wood in an interactive discussion about these fascinating founding fathers. \nInterested in further Book Chats? We will also be discussing picks for next year – all are welcome to bring ideas on interesting Revolutionary books to read! \nThe last book chat of each series is always FREE\, but registration is required!

SUMMARY:Rage Power Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Angry at the world? Need to let off some steam in a healthy way? Join Taylor in this power yoga class where we’ll listen to angry music\, let out all the feelings\, and allow ourselves to RAGE! This class will begin with deep breathing and grounding exercises\, followed by a sequence of yoga poses that will help to improve your strength\, flexibility\, and balance — all to a playlist filled with angry songs about the state of the world\, diminishing human rights\, etc etc. \nThis is a power yoga class\, so it is a bit more advanced and strength-based; however\, as always there will be modifications provided and everyone is more than welcome to do whatever feels right for them\, even if it’s simply laying on their mat and crying. We’ll end class with a powerful meditation meant to release any pent-up emotions that we may be carrying around. \nPLEASE NOTE: ***This class is an angry class. There will be adult language. There will be songs about the state of the world right now. This class is for those who are also angry\, and who also believe that every human deserves human rights.***
