DESCRIPTION:This is a free event (donations are very much appreciated). Parking will be off various parking lots along Nagog Park Drive where free shuttle buses will bring guests to and from the NARA starting at 5:30 p.m. until the end of the event. There will be a variety of food vendors. A free concert featuring the Nation’s #1 Cars Tribute Band – Best Friends Girl from 7-9:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Please follow yellow directional signs to parking areas.

SUMMARY:A New Revolution in Lexington
DESCRIPTION:In 2020\, 16.82% of Lexington’s population was Chinese\, which is proportionally the second-highest Chinese population of the 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts. Yet just 40 years ago\, Lexington had only 392 Chinese residents – and in 1890\, two. This presentation\, featuring research by Lexington High School student Sophia Zhang and live Q&A with local Chinese American panelists\, aims to discuss and explain the mulit-phase evolution of the Lexington Chinese American community\, within broader historical contexts. This presentation will also highlight the civic contributions Chinese Americans have made to Lexington and the community’s place in the town’s ongoing demographic transformation. \nSuggested donation $10

He tours and records extensively as a solo artist\, band member and inspirational speaker. \nCarl was critically injured in a car accident in Australia in 2008 suffering traumatic brain injury. After years in recuperation & sporting a few titanium bits\, Carl fulfilled his goal and returned to The Guess Who as lead singer for two special shows in 2016. Carl’s breakout band CONEY HATCH is back louder and tighter than ever 30+ years after their first record deal.
