Take a Child Outside Week

We’re celebrating with a week full of fun outdoor activities. Times differ each day.

Sept 24, 10am – 11am Nature Textures: Explore Discovery Woods in search of natural items with different textures.

Sept 25, 10am – 11am What’s the Weather Wednesday: We’ll be doing an activity that works with the weather, whether it’s windy, sunny, or rainy.

Sept 26, 10am – 11am Wacky Bubbles: Play and experiment with bubbles of different shapes and sizes.

Sept 27, 10am – 10:45am Backyard and Beyond Forest Fridays: Every Friday morning we’ll do a nature-based activity depending on the weather or season.

Sept 27, 2pm – 3pm Backyard and Beyond Nature Journaling: We’ll be making nature journals and then taking a walk to look for signs of fall.

Sept 28, 11am – 2pm Backyard and Beyond Nature Impressions: Look for patterns found in natural objects outside then use those patterns to make a clay impression.

Sept 29 1pm – 3pm Fall Plant Walk with PrimiTim: Take a walk with outdoor skills instructor, PrimiTim Swanson as he teaches us ways to identify autumn plants (pre-registration required at http://bit.ly/PrimiTimSept2019 ).
