Lexington History Museums hosts a full day of Patriots' Day Living History events for all ages. Family-friendly activities, historic interpretation, and more.
One of the nation's oldest celebrations of the first shot of the American Revolution, the Concord Patriots' Day Parade draws visitors from around the world. Reenactors, fife and drum corps, civic organizations, and community groups march through Concord. A jumbotron on Stow Street will simulcast the parade live for overflow crowds. Public transit and shuttles strongly recommended due to road closures and limited parking.
A free, all-ages block party in Concord Center celebrating Patriots' Day weekend. Featuring live performances by the Concord Women's Chorus, local bands, and Town Crier Josh Telepman on the Main Stage; food trucks including Tandoor & Curry, Bird's Nest Italian Street Food, and Whoopie Wagon; theatrical performances by Concord Traveling Players at 51 Walden; community booths; and pop-up activities. Art for All, Thoreau Society, and more.
Catch a revived community tradition as Concord-Carlisle High School and Lexington High School face off in their annual Patriots' Day baseball rivalry game at Emerson Field. Free admission; donations in support of Folds of Honor collected during the game. Festive touches throughout, including a Minuteman salute to start and wiffle ball for kids after.
