Friends of Bedford Depot Park was incorporated in January 1995 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. It now has over 200 members throughout the country. The group:
Helped establish and now supports Bedford Depot Park at the Minuteman Bikeway terminus.
Helped restore Boston & Maine Railroad Rail Diesel Car #6211 for static display.
Operates the Freight House welcome center as a public service.
Researches and preserves the history of the B&M’s former Lexington Branch and the narrow-gauge Billerica & Bedford Railroad.
