Brrrr…Things are getting chilly at the Discovery Museum. Experiment with different types of salt as you explore the unique characteristics of this solid state of water. Add in some liquid watercolors and discover just how cool science can be.

Join us as we tinker about with beads, yarn, buttons, and other items that can be threaded, strung, looped, and laced. Try your hand at some simple stitching or practice with some over sized beads.

Let it snow! Even if it’s not snowing outside, we’ll still be able to make some mini snowballs and snowmen with our baking soda and shaving cream “snow”. Use your hands to mix together the two ingredients and see how it compares to the real thing!

Join us in Discovery Woods to celebrate whatever weather Mother Nature decides give us today. We’ll be doing an activity that works with the weather, whether it’s windy, sunny, or snowy.
